Clutch diagnostics is required in the presence of the following signs: the clutch slips or spins, that is, there is, respectively, incomplete disengagement or incomplete engagement, as well as jerking during clutch operation, vibration at the time of engaging the clutch and noise when disengaging the clutch. Clutch diagnostics consists of rather complex operations, including checking the condition of the gearbox components, checking the hydraulic system of the transmission, if any, checking the flywheel surface, checking the condition of the main shaft.
