Aion UT is a compact electric 5-door hatchback presented by the Chinese concern GAC under the subsidiary brand Aion at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024. Initially developed for export markets, the hatchback is based on the AEP 3.0 platform. Dimensions: length - 4.27 meters, wheelbase - 2.75 meters, which is not small for this class. The creators gave Aion UT a minimalist design and unusual optics at the front and rear. The front panel is completely devoid of physical buttons. The instrument display has a diagonal of 8.8 inches, all control of the on-board systems is assigned to a large 14.6-inch touchscreen media system with support for HiCar, CarLink and Apple CarPlay protocols. There is an AI-based voice assistant. The standard equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats, interior lighting and a panoramic roof. The list of electronic driver assistants includes a hill start assist system (HSA), lane keeping, road sign recognition and other safety features. Despite its compact dimensions, the Aion UT boasts a decent trunk volume: 440 liters behind the backrests and 1,600 liters if you fold the second row. The basic version for export markets is equipped with a single electric motor on the front axle with an output of 204 hp and a 60 kWh LFP battery.
