The Byd Atto 2 (named Yuan UP in China) is a new electric crossover that is the smallest and expectedly the most affordable in the Chinese automaker's lineup. The new product will appear on the domestic market in the spring of 2024. The export version will most likely be called Atto 2. The compact SUV, 4.3 meters long, is built on the e-Platform 3.0 architecture, which makes it similar to the Atto 3 crossover and the Dolphin hatchback. The new Byd Atto 2 was given an original appearance: a large panoramic roof with a spoiler, semi-hidden door handles and 5-spoke wheels measuring 16 or 17 inches. One electric motor mounted on the front axle is offered in two power levels. The lithium iron phosphate battery from FinDreams (“subsidiary” of BYD) will have two capacities: 32 kW/h will provide 301 km of range, 45.1 kW/h – up to 401 km.
