Maextro is a Chinese luxury brand created by the IT giant Huawei together with the Chinese manufacturer JAC in July 2024 to produce luxury cars using new energy sources. The brand plans to produce electrified cars of the highest class. Maextro has become the fourth and most prestigious brand in the HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance), through which the Chinese IT giant is conducting a broad offensive on the Chinese car market. Huawei does not plan to build its own factories and produce cars under its own brand, so JAC is the production partner for Maextro. Within HIMA, Huawei is involved in product planning, design, marketing and quality control, and provides intelligent software and hardware. The construction of the Maextro plant was completed on December 16, 2024, in Hefei, Anhui Province. The enterprise with the loud name Maextro Super Factory has a planned annual production volume of 100 billion yuan (US$13.7 billion). The brand's first-born, the Maextro S800, was unveiled on November 26, 2024, during the Huawei Mate event. The almost 5.5-meter executive sedan is one of the largest serial sedans in the world and the most expensive car in the HIMA line. All on-board electronics and electric motors for it are developed by Huawei. The creators do not hesitate to contrast the luxurious Maextro sedan with the representative models Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Mercedes EQS, Bentley or even Rolls-Royce. Huawei's special integrated digital platform "Tuling Longxing" with the ability to autonomously learn supports a wide range of power plants with two, three and four electric engines with a total capacity of 480-1300 hp. The architecture allows for the construction of different types of vehicles - sedans, SUVs and minivans with a gross weight of 3-3.8 tons. The 800-volt electrical system is compatible with 6C fast charging. Huawei and JAC are currently working on two new models of the Maextro brand.
