In order to replace the pump in an 8-valve system, remove the cover from the timing belt, if necessary, remove the tension roller, remove the alternator and timing belts, disconnect the pump hose, drain the antifreeze, remove the protective cover and pump. In order to remove the pump in a 16-valve system, first, remove the right wheel, and then follow the above-mentioned steps applicable for the 8-valve system. In order to install a new pump, perform the actions in the reverse order.
