Diesel engine overhaul may be required in the presence of the following symptoms: engine overheating, low oil pressure in the system, rough idle, carbon deposits, a significant increase in fuel and lubricant consumption, and so on. Overhaul consists in dismantling the power unit and eliminating faults and components: diagnostics of damage, repair of the diesel engine head, repair of the cylinder block, repair of the crankshaft. Once all the faults are rectified, the diesel engine needs to be assembled, adjusted and tested.
