There are many possible reasons for a turbine failure, so repairs begin with a thorough examination. Twin-scrolls (snails) are removed from the turbine, the impellers are inspected, the central housing of the diesel turbine (cartridge) is disassembled, after which the parts are washed. After that, defective parts are repaired or replaced with new ones.
