Audi Cabriolet – overview
The Audi Cabriolet is an open-top 2-door version of the Audi 80, produced from 1991 to 2000. The dimensions, proportions and main features of the cabriolet practically did not differ from the Audi 80 model, but the open-top version had two doors and a folding rooftop that decreased the capacity of the rear part of the body. The design and equipment of the model were constantly subjected to improvement. In 1997, the car received a removable rooftop made of aluminum alloy, painted in body color, four-wheel drive and a sports suspension. It was the Audi Cabriolet that became the prototype of the Audi TT Roadster.
