Bentley R Type - catalog and technical specifications
The Bentley R Type is the second series of post-war Bentley cars, which replaced the Mark VI. It was produced from 1952 to 1955. The car received a more spacious trunk, and its chassis was used for cars of other brands. In fact, the R Type was a copy of the Rolls-Royce Silver Don, but more popular: about 2,500 units were made, whereas a total of 760 Rolls-Royce models were produced. The car was equipped with a 4.6-liter engine and a 4-speed manual transmission, and an automatic gearbox was offered for an extra charge.
