BMW New Class generations
The BMW New Class (Neue Klasse) is a range of sedans and coupes produced by BMW from 1962 to 1977. The Neue Klasse comprises sedans and coupes 1500, 1800, 1600, 2000 and a number of special versions and modifications. The cars saved the company from the takeover by Mercedes-Benz, enabled BMW to navigate the corporate financial crisis of the 1950s, and forever cemented the company's status as one of the best manufacturers of quality sports sedans.
