Buick GS – overview
The Buick GS (Gran Sport) is a classic American "muscle car", a popular type of car with a very powerful engine and a long swift silhouette, aimed at driving at great speed along endless highways. Being a modification of the Buick Skylark, the model was introduced in 1965. Equipped with a more powerful engine, it immediately gained popularity and subsequently became an independent model. In the 1970s, the manufacturer released the Buick GS 455, which was the most magnificent GS ever produced. There was an optional Stage 1 package with more efficient camshafts, larger valves, and an upgraded carburetor.
