Catera

Cadillac Catera generations

The Cadillac Catera is a mid-size rear-wheel drive sedan, a copy of the Opel Omega model. It was produced in Germany from 1997 to 2001 and was sold on the American market. It was the first Cadillac to be completely assembled outside of America. Compared to the original, the Catera turned out to be more comfortable, safer and heavier, which made it necessary to strengthen the suspension. But it became smaller and less powerful than other Cadillac models, so it could not attract enough buyers against the background of European competitors.
