Chrysler Aspen - catalog and technical specifications
Debuted in 2006, the Chrysler Aspen full-size SUV became the first vehicle of this class in Chrysler’s history. The SUV is based on the 2003 Dodge Durango. The Aspen had a traditional body-on-frame design and rear-wheel or four-wheel drive systems with a reduction gear. The vehicle was 3-row and could have 7 or 8 seats. The 8-seater version featured a backseat in the third row instead of separate seats. The SUV was well-equipped, featuring a convertible interior with many cup holders and places to store small items, automatic tailgate opener, three-zones climate control, heated seats (first and second row), infotainment system for rear passengers, and much more. In 2008, the manufacturer released a hybrid version with a 5.7-liter engine with 345 hp paired with an electric motor. In 2008, production of the Chrysler Aspen was discontinued due to the difficult financial situation of the company.
