Chrysler Newport generations

The word "Newport" was used by Chrysler for both a hardtop body (no B-pillar) and as a model name, produced between 1968 and 1981. The first car with this name, known as the Chrysler Newport Phaeton, was produced in 1940 and 1941. The 1960-1970s models were considered full-size, but positioned as the cheapest and most affordable cars in the model range.
