Citroen SM - catalog and technical specifications
The Citroën SM is a large coupe introduced by Citroën in 1970. The company started working on a 2-door car, which was supposed to become the brand’s flagship, back in the early 1960s. In 1968, Citroën bought Maserati and used its technology and engines to create the SM. The car received front-wheel drive and high power V6 engines. The engines could be combines with 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmissions, as well as a proprietary hydropneumatic suspension that allowed changing the ground clearance. Despite the low demand, the model was sold even in the United States and was terminated in 1975.
