The Citroën Xsara is a compact family car produced by Citroën in France, Spain and China from 1997 to 2006. The car was available in different body styles, as well as seven engines to choose from. The production of hatchbacks ended in 2004, giving way to the new C4, and estates continued to be produced until 2006. In total, the company produced 3,343,000 cars under that name. Moreover, Citroën released the Xsara WRC, an all-wheel drive rally car used by the Citroën factory team in the 2001-2005 World Rally Championships. The most famous French pilot Sébastien Loeb became the world champion for three years in a row driving the Xsara.
