Daewoo Espero – overview

The Daewoo Espero is a mid-sized family car based on the second generation J platform of General Motors. Espero means "I'm waiting" in Spanish. The car was produced in South Korea, Poland, Romania and Russia. The sedan body was designed by the Italian design studio Bertone. The car could be equipped with 1.5-liter gasoline engines with 90 hp, 1.8-liter gasoline engines with 95 hp or 2-liter gasoline engines with 105 and 110 hp. The Korean version of Espero differed from the others in details and was sold from 1990 to 1999.
