DongFeng E1 – overview
DongFeng E1 is an affordable electric hatchback, introduced in China in 2020. It is also known under the names Sineri E1, Aeolus EX1, and Venusia e30. All of them are closely related to the Renault City K-ZE and were created as part of the e-GT New Energy Automotive project through joint efforts by Renault Nissan and DongFeng. The subcompact crossover Renault Kwid was chosen as the base. Its Chinese counterpart became electric, received a decent trim package and a reasonable range, but most importantly - an attractive price. The car is sold in the Chinese domestic market.
