Donkervoort D8 GT generations

The Donkerworth D8 GT is the first model of the Dutch company with a closed coupe body. It was introduced at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, and the small-scale production started in early 2008. The car differed from its predecessors with a longer wheelbase and better brakes. With a weight of 650 kg, the sports coupe has become the lightest car in its class in the world thanks to the use of carbon fiber: the roof, rear end, doors and fenders are made of this high-tech material. All of this has provided the car with unsurpassed torsional rigidity and high passive safety. In the FIA GT4 European Cup, the Donkerworth D8 GT finished second and won the Dubai 24 Hours Race.
