Ford Granada – overview
The Ford Granada is a business-class car produced by the European division of the Ford Motor Company in Germany and the UK from 1972 to 1985. The sedan, which replaced the Ford Zephyr, was created in order to enter the European E-segment and compete with Mercedes-Benz or BMW models of those years. The angular design of the Granada was developed in the early 1970s by the Cologne branch of Ford (Germany) with the participation of American specialists, and British engineers participated in the creation of the chassis and suspension. By the way, in 1975-1982, a compact model was produced in the USA under the same name, which had nothing to do with the European one.
