Ford GT generations

The Ford GT, a mid-engined sports car produced since 2004, received a new generation in 2016. It was initially developed as a concept car for the 100th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company. Three prototypes of the car were shown in 2003, and production started in autumn 2004. The 2-seater coupe was equipped with a 5.4-liter supercharged engine that developed 550 hp, which allowed accelerating to 330 km/h. Introduced in 2015, the new generation received a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged engine with a capacity of 647 hp and a 7-speed robotic gearbox. The new GT has one of the best weight-to-power ratios on the road, thanks to the use of carbon fiber.
