Ford Tempo – overview
The Ford Tempo is a compact car produced by Ford from 1984 to 1994, which was a smaller Fairmont model. The model’s name “Tempo” comes from the word "time". Moreover, it was part of Ford's renewal plan targeted at creating environmentally friendly, efficient and modern models for successful competition with European and Japanese imports. Initially, the car was produced in sedan and coupe bodies. Just under a million units were produced. Since 1995, the Tempo was replaced by the Ford Contour.
