Ford V8 - catalog and technical specifications
The Ford V8 was a version of the Ford B model, which was equipped with 8-cylinder engines. It was also named Model 18. Its production began in 1932 and continued until 1940. Technically, it was an updated version of the Ford A. The V8 was the first inexpensive, mass-selling car with an 8-cylinder engine. The V8 unit produced 65 hp at the beginning of production, but then it became significantly powerful due to improvements in the carburetor and ignition system. Buyers more often chose a car with a powerful engine than with a conventional 4-cylinder one.
