Honda Ascot – overview
The Honda Ascot is a mid-range sedan manufactured by Honda and sold only in Japan from 1989 to 1997 in two generations. The car was named after the famous English racecourse Ascot and the ascot tie to give the model a touch of elegance. Eric Clapton himself appeared in the ad. Technically, the car was a copy of the Accord model, inheriting the same 1.8 and 2 liter engines and automatic and manual gearboxes but had a different exterior.
