Honda Vezel – overview
The Honda Vezel is a subcompact SUV that was first introduced to the Japanese market in late 2013 and appeared in North America in 2014 under the revived name HR-V. The original name is derived from the word "bezel", meaning slanted facets of a gemstone, with the first letter "V", meaning “vehicle”. In Japan, the car was offered with a gasoline engine or a hybrid system, whereas a version with a 1.8 gasoline engine was supplied to the USA. The car was also offered in other countries (China and Southeast Asia). In February 2021, a new generation was released. The Vesel name and the main features of the model were retained in Japan.
