Isuzu Florian – overview
The Isuzu Florian is a middle-class car produced in Japan from 1967 to 1983. It was built on a chassis similar to the 117 Coupe. The car was named after the fictional white horse owned by the Emperor of Austria from Felix Salten's 1934 novel Florian, the emperor's Stallion. The car not only bore the name of this horse, but also had a stallion badge. The body remained virtually unchanged throughout its unusually long life. Initially, the car came with a 1.6-litre gasoline engine, after which it received a 1.8-litre version and a diesel variant introduced in 1977.
