The Jeep CJ was a compact open-top SUV or compact pickup produced between 1966 and 1987. Until 1966, the CJ models were produced as Willys models, modifications of the great American car of the Second World War. Over the entire history of the brand, more than 1.5 million CJ jeeps have been built. The model has been repeatedly called the most successful SUV ever created. The Jeep Wrangler was a direct successor to the Jeep CJ.
