Lancia Appia generations

The Lancia Appia is a passenger car introduced as a replacement for the Lancia Ardea. Introduced in 1953, the car was produced for ten years. It was the last in a long range of Lancia production cars, starting in 1922, which used sliding strut independent front suspension. It was equipped with rather exotic 1089 cc V4 engines. The model was offered in sedan, coupe from Pinin Farina, convertible, 2-door sedan from Vignale and GT version with an aluminum body from Zagato. There were also light commercial vehicles. A total of 107,000 Appia family cars were built.
