Maruti Suzuki Esteem generations

The Maruti Esteem is a version of the Maruti 1000 sedan modernized in 1994. It featured a more powerful 1.3-liter engine with 65 hp, which was replaced by a 16-valve fuel-injected engine with 85 hp in 1999. This engine had one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in the segment. Otherwise, the Esteem was identical to the Maruti 1000 and was produced until 2007.
