Maserati Merak – overview
The Maserati Merak is a 2-seater sports car or a 2+2 car, which was produced by Maserati from 1975 to 1983. It was Maserati's last self-built mid-engined sports car. Usually, the Italian brand's models are luxurious and powerful, but the Merak showed that the company can build practical cars too. The model was not incredibly powerful, but it had additional space for passengers and luggage. However, the Merak was still a supercar, just a less expensive alternative to the Maserati Bora, which was a flagship model at the time.
