Mazda 2 Hybrid – overview

The Mazda 2 Hybrid was launched in December 2021. This new hybrid is a clone of the small Toyota Yaris hatchback, with the exterior differences being limited to a different badge and a slightly wider body. Inside the small, only 3940mm long, 5-door hatchback is the TNGA platform. The interior is borrowed from Toyota without any changes, except for the emblem on the steering wheel. The Mazda 2 Hybrid is designed to accommodate four passengers, and the trunk can hold 286 liters. The hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (92 hp), an electromechanical variator, and an 80 hp electric motor. The maximum power output is 116 hp. The car received a maximum of 5 stars for safety from Euro-NCAP.
