McLaren MP4-12C generations

The McLaren MP4-12C is a sports road car and the first ever production model entirely designed and built by McLaren. The car was introduced in September 2009 and put into production in 2011. It was built on a carbon fiber composite chassis and powered by a longitudinally mounted McLaren M838T 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing about 600 hp, paired with a 7-speed Seamless-Shift dual-clutch transmission. In 2012, the manufacturer released the McLaren MP4-12C Spider open-top model.
