Mercedes W189 – overview
Mercedes-Benz's flagship car of the 1950s, called the Mercedes-Benz 300, was produced with factory designations W186, W188 and W189. The Mercedes-Benz W189 is a luxury sedan or convertible produced from 1957 to 1962. Only 3,077 units were produced. According to unofficial data from collectors, there are no more than 167 cars that still exist. A 5-meter car, assembled by hand in compliance with classic methods, with the chromed body mounted on a frame, was very expensive back then, so we can only imagine how much it costs today.
