Mercury Mountaineer generations
The Mercury Mountaineer is an SUV that has been produced from 1997. The model was a copy of the second generation Ford Explorer with different exterior design details and a set of options. The vehicle was equipped with a 4-liter V6 engine or a 5-liter V8 engine with 205 and 215 hp, respectively. The 2002-2005 second generation received a new 4.6-liter engine that produced 239 hp. The third generation was produced from 2006 to 2010.
