Mitsubishi 500 generations

The Mitsubishi 500 is the first passenger car produced by the Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors from 1960 to 1962. The car turned out to be subcompact, just over 3 m, and its weight was only 490 kg. It featured a tiny 0.5-liter 2 cylinders engine. The car had a 2-door sedan body with 4 seats. Interestingly, the first car of the company with a “special homologation” was the Mitsubishi 500, prepared for the 1962 Macau Grand Prix. That race saw the debut of driver Kazuo Togawa, who took the first four places in the 750cc category. However, this did not help the model to conquer the market, and so the Mitsubishi 500 was soon replaced by the Colt 600.
