Mitsubishi Montero – overview
The Mitsubishi Montero is a mid-size SUV known as the Pajero. In Spanish-speaking countries, the Mitsubishi Pajero is known as Mitsubishi Montero. In the US, the model was offered with top-end gasoline engines. The first generation vehicles came with 3-liter engines, and the fourth generation models had 3.8-liter engines. There were short 3-door and long 5-door versions. The Mitsubishi Montero had only an all-wheel drive transmission, which allowed it to win the Dakar rally. The Montero was discontinued in 2014.
