Mitsuoka Orochi - catalog and technical specifications
The Mitsuoka Orochi is a rear-wheel drive mid-engined supercar based on the Honda NSX. The extraordinary model was unveiled at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. The unforgettably wide and low body, made of fiberglass, is created entirely from curved surfaces, reminiscent of a writhing snake. This is how Mitsuoka designers honored the legend of the mythical eight-headed and eight-tailed dragon. Orochi means "big snake" in Japanese. The car features a steel-tube structure, a 3.3-liter Toyota V6 engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. A total of 400 cars were made to order.
