Mitsuoka Rock Star - catalog and technical specifications

The Mitsuoka Rock Star is a car based on the fourth generation Mazda MX-5 roadster. The model was inspired by the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (1963-1967). It used reinforced plastic panels, while keeping doors and windshield from the original Mazda body. It was equipped with 6-speed gearboxes, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. The car had a rear-wheel drive layout. The basic equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, electric mirrors, air conditioning and all modern safety systems. The Rock Star presentation marked the 50th anniversary of Mitsuoka. A total of 200 cars were produced, all of which sold out in 4 months.
