The Morris Marina is a small, rear-wheel drive family car produced from 1971 to 1980. It was sold as the Austin Marina, Leyland Marina or Morris 1700 in some markets. The car was popular in the UK throughout its production period, even more popular than the Ford Escort. The car was exported all over the world, including North America, assembled in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Malaysia. In total, about 1.2 million units were built.
