Nissan Bluebird Maxima – overview
The Nissan Bluebird Maxima is a luxury hardtop, a modification of the 7th generation Nissan Bluebird mid-range sedan, created for the North American market and produced from 1984 to 1988. The car became a continuation of the Datsun Maxima thanks to a special 6-cylinder VG20ET engine with 170 hp. It was the first Japanese front-wheel drive car to be equipped with an extremely powerful 6-cylinder V-engine that fit in the car due to longer hood and fenders. The successor to the Bluebird Maxima received a 3-liter engine and its own name - Maxima.
