Peugeot 204 – overview
The Peugeot 204 is a compact family car manufactured by Peugeot from 1965 to 1977. It was offered as a 4-door sedan or estate, 2-door coupe, convertible and even a minivan. Peugeot's first front-wheel-drive model has become a landmark for the brand. The car showed good handling, decent performance and excellent fuel efficiency. In many ways, it was at the forefront of a new generation of small cars and anticipated many of the later French automotive trends. Sales reached a huge figure for those times, 1.6 million units.
