Renault 9 – overview
The Renault 9 (and its counterpart Renault 11) is a small family car produced from 1983 to 1988. It was offered as a three-door or five-door hatchback. The car had a whole range of engines specifically developed for its, starting from a 1.1-liter engine to a 1.8-liter engine. The most powerful engine was considered a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 105 hp. The Renault 9 is a fairly typical car for its time and for this segment. It offered a very simple design, functional interior, good driving performance and a relatively low price.
