The Renault Dauphine is a supermini passenger car produced by Renault as a 4-door sedan from 1965 to 1967. The car received a peculiar exterior, designed on the basis of numerous tests aimed at identifying the most economical shape for that time. In total, the Dauphine has passed over two million kilometers of road and track testing. The drivers and passengers claimed that the sedan was simple, comfortable and reliable, very well suited for long-distance races. In addition, it was considered one of the first economy cars in Europe. Despite the fact that the model did not last long on the market, it had a luxury version of the Renault Ondine.
