Floride

Renault Floride - catalog and technical specifications

The Renault Florida was the name, under which the popular Renault Caravelle was sold outside the North American market until the end of 1962. The French subcompact rear-engine car was offered in coupe and convertible bodies, and was mass-produced from 1958 to 1968. The model had one generation. The open-top (the rooftop could be removed) 2 or 4-seater sports car turned out to be light and fast. It was equipped with the engines producing 37 and 40 hp. The interior looked simple, but quite comfortable. Interestingly, the Florida was famous for its impeccable handling on a dry, flat road, but it behaved quite dangerously on a wet one.
