The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a full-size luxury sedan produced by the British automaker Rolls-Royce from 1965 to 1980. It was the brand’s first car to use a single body structure and chassis. The model was a huge step forward compared to its predecessors. Initially conceived as the most advanced, it combined the best qualities of the technologies that existed at that time. For the first time, the creation of Rolls-Royce was equipped with a load-bearing frameless body, independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic suspension adjustment and maximum braking force. From 1965 to 1969, the car featured a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 172 hp. From 1970 to 1980, the car was equipped with a 6.7-liter engine with 189 hp. In just 15 years, 30,059 sedans were built, which makes the car one of the best-selling Rolls-Royce models.
