Toyota Celica – overview
The Toyota Celica is a compact sports coupe or 3-door hatchback that has been loved by many fans around the world. It was known for victories in the rally and lived a long happy life. The model was produced from 1970 to 2005. It had seven generations. The first generation was equipped with engines with a volume ranging from 1.4 to 2 liters and rear-wheel drive. The model was gradually developed in parallel with the evolution of the automotive industry as a whole. Starting from 1985 and the fourth generation, the Celica received front-wheel drive. The 4th, 5th and 6th generations offered convertibles. Unlike all its predecessors, the final, seventh generation featured soft rounded outlines. The car was discontinued in 2006.
