Toyota Curren – overview
The Toyota Curren is a compact sports coupe produced in Japan from 1994 to 1999. The car was based on the chassis of the Toyota Celica, even the rear part was borrowed from it. The name "Curren" comes from the English word "current". The car was equipped with a 2-liter engine with a capacity of up to 180 hp. After the restyling, the car acquired a more democratic 1.8-liter engine. The Curren did not have all-wheel drive modifications, but there were full-control versions, quite typical for Toyota cars of those years.
