FJ Cruiser

Toyota FJ Cruiser - catalog and technical specifications

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is a compact SUV based on the legendary 40th series Land Cruiser produced in the 1960-1980s. The FJ name came from the famous F line gasoline engines and the capital letter of the word Jeep, which is firmly entrenched in the minds of the name of SUVs. The model was created for the American market as a competitor to the Hummer H2 and H3. It was based on a shortened frame from the 4Runner/Prado, featured a top-end 4-liter engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive system is the simplest, without a center differential, with a hard-wired front axle and a low range. The interior turned out to be functional and was finished with inexpensive materials. The rear seats didn’t offer much space, but the trunk was quite roomy.
