Toyota Gaia – overview
The Toyota Gaia is a mid-size three-row minivan produced from 1998 to 2004. The vehicle was the closest relative of the Toyota Ipsum. But it belonged to a higher class, despite featuring the same units. It was equipped with a 2-liter gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine, automatic transmission, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. In 2001, the minivan was upgraded, acquiring a more fuel-efficient 2-liter D4 direct injection engine. This modification was front-wheel drive only.
