Toyota Raum - catalog and technical specifications
The Toyota Raum is a 5-seat subcompact van based on the Toyota Tercel/Corsa hatchback. The name Raum is derived from the German language and translates as "space". Produced from 1997 to 2011, the vehicle became the embodiment of various new ideas. It featured convenient sliding doors, a passage between seats of variable width, easily folding seats and much more. In 2003, the manufacturer released the second generation, only slightly different from the first, but with a more modern and powerful 1.5-liter engine and automatic transmission. Passenger doors were still sliding, but the left rear door became automatic. In the absence of a central pillar, when opening both left doors, you can get a "window" 1.5 meters wide. Both modifications were offered with a permanent all-wheel drive system.
